About Judson Cornwall E. Judson Cornwall was born in San Jose, California
August 15.1924, He has lived in Phoenix for the past 20 years and it
was in his home that he bid us goodbye as he rose to a more permanent
dwelling place. Though successfully battling, by faith, both diabetes
and cancer for several years Dr. Cornwall suffered a severe stroke and
in less than a week died. Judson had an unusual encounter with Jesus when only 5 years of age during a prayer meeting in his parents home. With tears he told both his parents that he had to leave them because Jesus wanted him to preach the Gospel to all the world. Wisely his mom and dad seriously accepted this mandate upon his life and mentored him through childhood. He then attended Pasadena Bible College (now Vanguard University) where he met and married Eleanor Eaton 62 years ago. He later received a doctorate degree from Fountaingate Bible College in Dallas, Texas. Together Judson and Eleanor had 3 daughters; Dorothy Foster of Glendale, Jeanne Schuppert of Indiana and Justine Sentfleben of Phoenix. Other family members include 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren , including one born just before his 80th birthday and named after him. Missing him as the elder brother of the family will be his siblings: Robert Cornwall, who is the pastor of Immanuel Fellowship in Cottonwood, Jim Cornwall, pastor of Scottsdale Worship Center who has served as Judson’s pastor since he permanently re-located in Arizona. A third brother, Tom Cornwall, the family intercessor, resides in Port Orchard, Washington. Iverna Tompkins, his only sister, is also a traveling minister who resides in Scottsdale. Judson was a third generation minister and has served as an Apostle, Pastor, Teacher, Pioneer and Encourager. Following his years of establishing and serving local churches, he traveled the world preaching, teaching and training ministers and laity of various denominations. He may be best remembered for his in-depth teaching on the subject of worship as taught in the Bible. Multiple thousands have testified of their lives being changed by the practice of this revelation. He authored more than 50 books, many of which have been translated into languages other than English. His last book was written at the urging of the publisher after learning that Dr. Cornwall continued to counsel others from his wheelchair with an almost 3 year old prognosis having been given him of his pending death. The book is well named “Dying with Grace” for this is exactly what he did to his last breath. At 10:30 Thursday morning, February 17, a memorial and celebration service will be held at Scottsdale Worship Center which is located at 6508 E. Cactus Road, Scottsdale 85254...Church Phone # is 408-483-2401.
